The Michigan Amateur Golf Tour is preparing for its 5th and best year ever. We experienced a growth of 250% for 2007 and we are expecting to double our membership for 2008. We are part of the nationally organized Amateur Golf Tour headquartered in North Carolina, the MIAGT provides golfer's of all abilities a chance to compete in real golf tournaments at some of the best courses in Michigan. The MIAGT tournaments are setup to be challenging but fair tests of golfers' abilities. We offer prize payouts and trophies for the first three places in each flight. All players are awarded points for each tournament they compete in. The top ten point's earners from each flight are eligible to play in the National Tour Championship held in Hilton Head SC. Last years National Championship had over 550 amateur golfers competing for first place in their respective flights. Tournaments are played according to USGA rules. Our season starts Saturday April 19th, and continues every other Saturday until October 11th which is the State Tour Cup Championship, the last of our four majors. Tour members may play in as many tournaments as they like there is no maximum and no minimum. We play golf rain or shine.
