The Michigan Amateur Golf Tour is preparing for its 6th season with the Amateur Golf Tour and the 3rd season under the new directorship. We experienced a growth of 250% for 2007 and a growth to over 200 playing members for 2008. We are part of the nationally organized Amateur Golf Tour headquartered in North Carolina, the MIAGT provides golfer's of all abilities a chance to compete in real golf tournaments at some of the best courses in Michigan. The MIAGT tournaments are setup to be challenging but fair tests of golfers' abilities. We offer prize payouts and trophies for the first three places in each flight. All players are awarded points for each tournament they compete in. The top ten point's earners from each flight are eligible to play in the National Tour Championship held in Hilton Head SC. Last years National Championship had over 550 amateur golfers competing for first place in their respective flights. Tournaments are played according to USGA rules. Our season starts Saturday April 11th, and continues every other Saturday until September 5th which is the State Tour Cup Championship, the last of our four majors. Tour members may play in as many tournaments as they like there is no maximum and no minimum. We play golf rain or shine.

THE MASTERS WAS A BIG SUCCESS Next event 05-30-09 in Washington MI

Another tournament with bad weather but in the end the sun came out. I think God was smiling down on us for helping the smallest of his people. We raised over $5000 dollars for Children's Miracle Network again this year. Thanks to everyone.
